Qualifying Education: Sales Agent Correspondence Course

Sales Agent:
In order to become licensed, students must pass a 55 hour course with a 75 or better and pass a state exam within one year of course completion. After passing the exam, students have one year to find a real estate company to work for and apply for a Sales Agent license with the Maine Real Estate Commission.

Tuition:
$495, includes books ($8 shipping)

How it Works:
When you register for the Sales Agent Correspondence Course, you will receive a package with a binder and your books. This course consists of 3 modules and case studies. Each module contains reading assignments, homework questions and a quiz. When you finish a module, mail in your homework and quiz to the Center for Real Estate Education. Your work will be returned with a grade for the module within 3 weeks.

When the 3 modules and case studies are completed, you will contact the Center to make arrangements for a proctored exam. We can provide proctors in most areas of Maine if you cannot come to our Portland office. Students have two opportunities to pass the final exam. Once the final exam is passed, you will receive a grade for the course in the mail.

Students have one year to complete the course from the time it was purchased.

The instructor is Kim Coit and his e-mail address is: coit@usm.maine.edu
