Center for Real Estate Education

The Center for Real Estate Education was established in 1977 as part of the School of Business at the University of Southern Maine. The purpose of the Center is to provide statewide courses, seminars and information to improve public understanding and confidence in the business of real estate. The Center is a self-supporting unit of the University and derives its funding from tuition for educational programs, grants, and contracts. Our primary functions are:

  • Statewide pre-licensing and continuing education courses for real estate licensees, appraisers and assessors;
  • Educational programs provided through a variety of formats including live seminars, correspondence courses, videos, computer and internet programs;
  • Serving over 2,500 students each year.
